Aloura "Aeon" Smith is a Massachusetts-based actress and mezzo-soprano with a passion for musical theater that began long before she ever stepped on a professional stage. A winner of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, they bring musical intelligence and emotional depth to every role they take on.Trained at Mount Wachusett Community College, Aeon has built their career across some of New England's most respected regional stages — from the South Shore to the Blackstone Valley — bringing their distinctive voice and physicality to a wide range of productions, from iconic rock operas to classic American musicals.They are perhaps best known in the Massachusetts theater community for their work in Rent, a show they have performed across multiple productions and in multiple roles — most recently as Mimi Marquez at The Company Theatre in Norwell, a performance that earned them a feature on CBS Boston.
